GenAI Translator
Chrome extension that translates selected text and helps you write in another language, with the AI provider of your choice.
Select text on any page and translate it from the right-click menu, the icon that appears next to the selection, the toolbar popup or Chrome’s side panel. It also works the other way round: focus a text field, write in your own language, and it puts a translation into the field for you to review before you send it.
Providers
- Google Translate and Chrome’s built-in AI (Gemini Nano, on-device, Chrome 138+) need no API key
- Google Gemini, OpenRouter and DeepSeek use your own key, with a choice of model and fallback models
- Google Translate gives a plain translation; the AI providers also break down words and let you ask follow-up questions in the side panel

Privacy
API keys and translation history stay in your browser’s storage. Requests go straight to the provider you chose, with no server in between, and with Chrome’s built-in AI the translation never leaves your device.
